Volunteering is a rewarding way of getting even more of out of rogaining, learning new skills, meeting new people and giving back at the same time. Assistance and mentoring is available for roles from event admin, helping at events through to course setting and vetting.
ACTRA is completely run by volunteers, members of the organisation and their family and friends. We have no paid people.
Each year it takes about 80 people to run the events and about another 10 people to do the committee and additional tasks like maintain the equipment, monitor the website and write newsletters and social media posts. If you enjoy rogaining we need you to put back in, to keep the events happening.
Many volunteer positions become vacant and are advertised in e-mail bulletins or on the website (check volunteer table in the event calendar for vacancies). If you can also offer to assist with any of these roles this would be much appreciated as the load becomes easier if shared among many.
